Muzaffar Ahmad Virk

Chief Executive Officer

Muzaffar is a Qualified Accountant with over 35 years of rich oil and gas industry experience. Senior Executive and entrepreneur providing fiscal, strategic, stakeholders and operations leadership in uniquely challenging situations.  Having worked with Deloitte Touch & Tamotsu for 6 years and 27 years with Tullow Pakistan Developments Ltd. At Tullow, Muzaffar held different positions in finance, legal, commercial and general management roles and worked on verity of exploration, development and production projects. He was involved with different stakeholders and negotiated number of petroleum concession agreements, gas sales & purchase agreements and commercial contracts. Muzaffar’s energy sector professional prowess and leadership skill will certainly help SIM Oil to grow as a successful company.

At Deloitte, Muzaffar worked in different roles and provided audit and corporate services to number of multinational oil companies including, Occidental Inc, Oil and Gas Developments Company Ltd, Tullow Oil, Amoco, GHPL and Lasmo.

Salma Muzaffar

Director

Salma is graduate from University of Punjab and has more than 7 years of experience of managing Currentage International Marketing Pvt Limited, a premier technology market development company operating in the Energy Resources Development & Upstream Petroleum Industry of Pakistan. Salma was appointed as Director in SIM Oil in December 2019.

Shahbaz Zareef

Chief Financial Officer

Having spend more than 25 years of his carrier with Tullow Pakistan Developments Ltd as Manager Finance, Shahbaz join SIM Oil in December 2019 as Chief Financial Officer. He possess extensive oil and gas industry finance taxation and corporate compliance functions experience. His leadership qualities enabled him to manage the Joint Venture Partner and other stakeholders very professionally and effectively.

Mr. Arshad Majeed

Reservoir Management & Reserves- Resource Estimation

He is MPhil in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot-Watt , University with over 35 years experience in development and reservoir management of producing assets of OGDCL. He has worked on reservoir management, well testing, reservoir characterization, reserves evaluation and simulation.  As lead reservoir engineer he looked after Tando Alam, Pasakhi oil fields, Pirkoh, Uch , Qadirpur gas fields with an estimated 12 Tcf of gas and 50 Million BBls of oil reserves. He is well versed in using state of the art reservoir and production engineering software’s. Mr. Arshad Majeed has authored and presented 07 papers in Annual Technical Conferences of PAPG/SPE.

Tahir Mohammad

Drilling Engineering

He has extensive experience of 40+ years and expertise in drilling and petro-physics. He has worked with major international oil companies on drilling optimization, horizontal drilling, coring operations and safety data analytics Sectors: Oil and gas Organizations: AURORA ABC Drilling Optimization Group, VAREL Europe S.A.S Oil & Gas Drill Bits, SinoPac/Universal Energy, Dresser – Baroid Co, Halliburton Co, Al-Furat Syria, Petroleum Development Oman and OGDCL Positions Held: Senior Consultant, Drilling Lead, Execution Supervisor and District Manager

Mohammad Damoun Dahir

Manager Operations & Business Development

  • Initially received his Master’s degree in Petroleum Geology from University of Karachi and later acquired MBA degree in Strategic Management from University of Manchester.
  • Over 20 years in upstream Oil & Gas Industry.
  • Worked on projects and clients across UAE, Iraq (including Kurdistan), Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan.Experience encompasses petroleum geology, drilling, operations management, well testing & completion sales, strategic management, and business development.

Extensively involved in training clients, team and subordinates over different projects during his time with Schlumberger, NOV and Smith International, building a strong knowledge base across the board to communicate and excel in long term commitments and productivity.

Nasir Ahmad

Consultant Exploration

Having a masters of Sciences degree in  Geophysics and an extensive experience of 40 years in the management of international and local companies portfolios. Having expertise but not limited to the ones mentioned below.

  • Specialist to evaluate the exploration projects, identify the risks and design the workflow to mitigate the risk up to optimum level utilizing geological and geophysical techniques.
  • Proficient at identifying the prospective areas in Pakistan for new ventures.
  • Skilled to manage and lead a team of exploration professionals by upholding SOPs of Health Safety and Environment (HSE).
  • Competent to make and execute the exploration plans and to achieve the targets by implementing the HSE standards of the industry.
  • Skilled to make and control the budget of the project.
  • Expert of seismic interpretation, for prospect generation and development of the field on seismic workstation and paper.
  • Competent to oversee the seismic acquisition, processing, well planning and drilling of exploration well.
  • Capable of making technical and commercial evaluations including reserve evaluation, the geological and commercial chance of success, for operated blocks, partner-operated blocks, and farm-in or new opportunities.
  • Expert in dealing with joint venture partners, government, and regulator as operator or non-operator of exploration blocks, and handle farm-out projects.

Hazkeel Ahmad Muaaz

Site Manager

Along with work experience of more than 7 years in EPC and E&P sector Hazkeel has a graduate degree in BS Mechanical Engineering and a Masters degree in project Management. Having expertise in procurement, managing site and projects.
